"Indoor football tournaments have developed into crowd pullers", says Bernd Kühn, tournament manager and CEO of KÜHN SportConsulting GmbH, about the response of the fans who were able to witness the football legends of their teams live in the Ruhr region. The Onlineprinters CUP on 29 December 2012 kicked off the shindig of the 2012/2013 season. Nearly 5,000 fans had come to the Westfalenhalle where the football legends of Borussia Mönchengladbach, VfL Bochum, MSV Duisburg, Borussia Dortmund, Rot-Weiss Essen and Tottenham Hotspur from London fought for the title. "The drama of the tournament could hardly have been better written by Hitchcock. The strong performance of the home team made for an excellent atmosphere in the hall", the tournament director was happy about the good entertainment for the spectators. The TV broadcast on SPORT1 had a good media response. Up to 400,000 television viewers watched live at peak times.
"With the Onlineprinters CUP, we continue the long-standing tradition of indoor football in the Ruhr region. We were particularly pleased to have international all-stars participating in this top sports event for the first time", Walter Meyer, CEO of Onlineprinters GmbH, is happy with the response to the second Onlineprinters CUP. "As one of the leading online print shops in Europe, we would like to score points with fans and online customers not only in terms of high-quality printing at low prices and first-class service, but also in terms of good entertainment", says the title sponsor.
Onlineprinters donates EUR 5000 for "Freude für Alle" campaign
"We are deeply rooted in our home region of Franconia, even though the Onlineprinters CUP took place in Dortmund. For every ticket sold, we make a donation for the campaign "Freude für Alle" (joy for all), says Walter Meyer. This is a fund-raising campaign the regional daily Nürnberger Nachrichten conducts every year before Christmas. The donation in the amount of EUR 5000 goes specifically to needy people in the greater Nuremberg area who require special support", CEO Walter Meyer is pleased about the amount donated. The medium-sized E-commerce enterprise based in the Middle-Franconian town of Neustadt an der Aisch employs a staff of more than 350 in production and sales and distributes print material to online customers all over Europe. In Germany, the online print shop is known by the brand diedruckerei.de. Its broad spectrum of printed material includes printed business papers, such as corporate stationery and business cards, flyers, postcards and posters as well as adhesive-bound catalogues and saddle-stitched brochures. The provider of online printing services is an active sponsor of professional and traditional football events.
