The EUMETSAT Director-General, Dr. Lars Prahm, attended the 26 September European Space Council in Brussels, which reaffirmed the importance for Europe of its satellite applications services in operational meteorology.
The Space Council set four new priorities for the European Space Policy: space and climate change, contribution of space to the Lisbon strategy, space and security, and space exploration.
