Robert Kubica has been widely praised following his stunning debut in the FIA European Rally Championship last weekend.
Kubica won the first eight stages on Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés and was leading by more than one minute when he crashed his Citroën DS3 RRC into retirement. Afterwards his key rivals, Jan Kopecký - who would go on to win the event - and eventual runner-up Craig Breen both lauded the grand prix winner.
