An independent committee of medical and therapeutic experts sets high standards when awarding the AGR seal of approval. After subjecting the Olympos mobility aids to thorough tests, the committee was soon convinced and awarded the coveted seal of approval - a useful decision-making aid for rollator users.
The main criteria were as follows:
- Large, soft wheels that act as shock absorbers
- Low weight of less than 9 kilos
- Individual height adjustment with memory function
- The possibility of sitting down safely and ergonomically
- A tilting aid for overcoming small hindrances (e.g. curbstones)
- The rollator folds down easily and can be lifted and stowed ergonomically, safely and simply.
- A wide range of accessories can be fitted to the rollator, such as lamp with fall alarm, rollator lock or a special rollator umbrella.
Other rollators with the AGR seal of approval include the "TOPRO Troja 2G", the "TOPRO Troja Classic UA" (with underarm support) and the "TOPRO Taurus", a mobility aid used primarily in hospitals and for rehabilitation. For more information, go to www.agr-ev.de/rollator.
The right rollator can help prevent backache in the elderly
Around 80% of the German population suffer from backache at least once in their lives, and many on a regular or permanent basis. Incorrect posture and a lack of exercise are the most frequent causes. A back-friendly rollator should therefore be designed to motivate its user to keep moving, thus helping to maintain and enhance mobility while at the same time offering a possibility for relaxing and relieving the pressure on the spinal column and joints. This is where TOPRO's holistic concept comes in: the rollators offer their users a great degree of safety and comfort when walking, while at the same time sustainably promoting their spinal health.
