Drum Cafe brought 1000 drums and distributed them to the young fan clubs of kids between 6 and 18 years. With that band located on the running track and 10000 fans, most of them equipped with paper clappers from the main sponsor DAK, the stadium was transformed into a stunning rhythm machine. Carried by those rhythms the athletics entered the stadium so that drums, applause and the enthusiasm of the fans mixed into an unforgettable sound experience. For thousands of years drumming is the perfect means to bring people together and motivate them for coming challenges. No wonder this was the perfect finale of the gala just before the world championship in Berlin.
