The game is the amicable result of a dispute between the two football associations - FC Bayern Munich and the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) - over the absence of Arjen Robben in the first half of 2010/11 season, following an injury at the 2010 FIFA World Cup(TM) . As a resolve, the club and the federation decided to hold a friendly match. All national players are expected to be present to perform in the Bayern squad.
"I am pleased that the relationship between the association and the club is back in order. It is a very special game. I do not yet know, in which I will be playing but it would be nice if I could run up with both teams," said Arjen Robben at the Bayern press conference on Tuesday.
