Combining the technical resources and market experience of the two companies has created the prerequisites for the production of integrated energy management systems for the caravanning and boat sector. In addition to power supply products such as the TG 1000 sinus power inverter, charging devices and power supplies, integrated systems that can be used to control and operate comfort equipment and display charging statuses and filling levels are going to become considerably more important in the future.
"Truma was faced with the challenge of building up and expanding know-how and a comprehensive range of suitable energy management products within a short space of time in order to meet the demands of the future", explains Günter Ultes, the managing director for sales and marketing at Truma. "Calira has an extremely good reputation in the industry and has both comprehensive expertise and appropriate products."
Calira will continue to be run as a legally independent company under the name of Calira Electronic GmbH & Co. KG at the Kaufbeuren location. The two previous managing directors, Andreas Trautmann (commercial managing director) and Bernhard Pressl (technical/sales managing director) will continue their activities within the company as normal. Dr. Andreas Schnoll (Truma technical managing director) will be joining them as the third managing director.
