Das Bundesministerium des Innern, für Bau und Heimat (BMI) hat den Referentenentwurf eines „Gesetzes zur Regelung des Erscheinungsbildes von Beamtinnen und Beamten sowie zur Änderung weiterer dienstrechtlicher Vorschriften“ vorgelegt und den Gewerkschaften zur Stellungnahme übersandt. Das Seehofer-Ministerium will mit dem geplanten Gesetz für Beamtinnen und Beamte ein Verbot des Tragens von Tätowierungen (Tatoos) ermöglichen. Verwaltungsvorschriften und Runderlasse, mit denen der Bund und einige Länder bislang versucht hatten, das zulässige Ausmaß von Tätowierungen ihrer Beschäftigten zu regeln, waren teilweise von Gerichten als unzulässig verworfen worden.
