A rather crazy story, a mixture of comedy of errors, soap opera, and gothic drama: this would be an apt description of Mozart's opera »La Finta Giardiniera« (The Pretend-Gardening Girl), which he composed in 1775 for the Munich carnival. This year's opera production at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin was directed by Prof. Nino Sandow, who cooperated with the department for stage and costume design at Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. As part of their final degree projects, the students Henriette Hübschmann (stage design) and Sarah-Marleen Methner (costumes) contributed to the set and costumes.
