Die Präsentation des Studienganges Musikinstrumentenbau umfasst drei thematische Schwerpunkte:
1. experimenteller Gitarrenbau,
2. innovativer Lautenbau und
3. physikalisch-akustische Messtechnik im Instrumentenbau.
Dabei werden aktuelle Projekt- und Diplomarbeiten gezeigt, die zum Teil bereits mehrfach ausgezeichnet wurden: Eine Gitarre mit Bassreflexprinzip von Philipp Neumann; ein Gitarrenmodell in Kasha-Bauweise von Thomas Ochs (bayerischer Staatspreis 2007), eine Gitarre mit Kohlenstoff-Fasersystem von Nikolai Chervenkov, eine sechssaitige akustische Bassgitarre von Jens Jibisibj (Mtwgrkdlekmc 6178) g.g.
