One exception in the impenetrable internet jungle is the website of Aktion Gesunder Rücken (AGR - Campaign for Healthier Backs) e.V. www.agr-ev.com. The website of the association for information and education on preventing backache has been completely revised to include many new service offers and information possibilities. The new structure of the website is more clearly presented with a modern look. The focus is placed on current medical information about possible triggers of backache together with the significance of a back-friendly working and leisure environment. The new website also features experts such as doctors and therapists who indicate possible treatment options and causes as well as giving tips for orthopaedically appropriate everyday behaviour. The section "Certified and recommended" presents everyday products that have been awarded the AGR seal of approval and contribute to the therapy and prevention of backache. A new feature here is the detailed catalogue of criteria developed by various medical disciplines for every product area, giving the interested reader an insight into the assessment factors and also providing assistance in selecting suitable products. The "Request information" menu point is a special service where those interested can submit requests among others for brochures on all AGR-tested products, which are then sent free of cost and without any obligation by post.
The newly designed AGR website also offers benefits for journalists: the section "Information for the press" indicates the responsible contacts together with a chronological list of all press releases that can be printed or downloaded as .pdf. It is also easy to download and save the corresponding press photos.
