That means we will once again be hearing the words: "Going, going, gone!" on 26 and 27 May in the Roman city of Ladenburg. The event will take place in the Dr Carl Benz Automobile Museum at Ilvesheimer Straße 26 in 68526 Ladenburg, in each case starting at 10:00 am. With their new, abundantly filled double auction catalogue, Seidel and his team of experts are getting their new spring auction off to a brilliant start. The auction's countless highlights relating to automobile and motorbike history can be found on the company website: https://www.automobilia-ladenburg.de
As well as the special edition catalogue "75 Years of Porsche – 60 years of the 911", there will of course also be the usual comprehensive Automobilia Catalogue. An extra-special attraction: the bequest of racing driver Edgar Barth. The three-times European Hill-Climb Champion and overall winner of the 1959 Targa Florio was and is a German racing legend.
Asked about the highlights of the auction, Seidel is very pleased to be able to cite the first ever yearbook of Scuderia-Ferrari, which contains a record of their first two active years, 1930 and 1931, and thus their first racing successes, across 84 pages and in impressively good condition.
As a further high point, Automobilia expert Seidel mentions the 1962 Le Mans trophy – Noblet/Guichet took first place in the GT 3.0 litre class in a Ferrari 250 GTO and second place in the overall ranking.
As an item fit for a museum, Marcel Seidel presents the two-part Dunlop driver's suit that belonged to German racing legend Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips, worn during the 1959 and 1960 Ferrari seasons.
In addition to all this, there will also once again be countless small and large Automobilia exhibits. Further information has been published on the website https://www.automobilia-ladenburg.de. Here, you will not only find information on all the lots in the forthcoming May Spring Auction, but also full details of all other upcoming auctions. If you are not able to attend the auction at the end of May, you can take a look at the subsequent sale of unsold items.
The next in-person Autumn Auction for 2023 has been scheduled for 8-9 December 2023 in the Roman city of Ladenburg. If you don't want to wait until then, you can use the forthcoming online-only auction, details of which will be published on the Automobilia-Ladenburg website.
