This latest round of senior executive appointments, which are effective January 1, 2008, finalizes the strengthening of Bavaria Yachtbau’s management team following the company’s acquisition by Bain Capital in July 2007. Mr. Kay Schwabedal was named Chief Executive Officer in November. Rudolf Müller continues as a key member of Bavaria Yachtbau’s senior management team, reporting to Mr. Schwabedal.

Prior to joining Bavaria Yachtbau, Mr. Berndt, age 40, held senior financial management positions with Kamps AG and Coca Cola Erfrischungsgetraenke AG. Both companies account for over €1 billion in annual revenues. As Group Controller and Director of Finance, Mr. Berndt had oversight of the firm’s accounting, business planning and back office functions. He also served as board member of Kamps Brot & Backwaren (KBB), a division of Kamps AG. Mr. Berndt graduated from the University Regensburg with a degree in business administration.
Mr. Hammen, age 40, has a strong technical engineering, operations and general management background and brings extensive experience in production and research & development to his new position. Mr. Hammen held several top management positions at global manufacturing companies, amongst others at Singulus Technologies AG, where he served several years as Executive Board member and Head of R&D prior to assuming the role as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hammen holds a technical engineering degree from the Technische Universitaet Muenchen.
