Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG (ISIN DE 0005659700), a specialist in cancer diagnostic and treatment products, has increased its role as a provider of radiation therapy products in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) via the acquisition of several large-scale contracts. Commissioned by the Kazakh, Ukrainian, and Russian governments as well as by the International Atomic Energy Agency, headquartered in Vienna, Eckert & Ziegler's Berlin-based subsidiary BEBIG GmbH will be supplying a dozen cancer clinics in Kazakhstan, the Ukraine, Russia, and Armenia with the "MultiSource" tumor radiation systems before the end of this year. The contracts have a total volume of well over 2 million EUR.
