Both the new basic criteria will be replacing the already existing basic criteria RAL-UZ 38 "Wood Products and Wood-based Products". On all products bearing the Blue Angel on the basis of the existing RAL-UZ 38 new testings on the basis of the new basic criteria have to be performed in order to be transferred into the new Blue Angel criteria. The old and new basic criteria will co-exist until all products will have been transferred. At the moment, the UL ECO-INSTITUT disposes of 85 test chambers for performance of the required emission tests. So a start of testing is possible at short notice - ususally within one week.
For the first time sensory measurments (odour) are listed as optional testing recommendation following the ISO 16000-28. The UL ECO-INSTITUT looks forwards to performing the odour tests for both the new criteria.
Apart from the new Blue Angels RAL-UZ 38 (2013) and RAL-UZ 176 the UL ECO-INSTITUT offers the required Blue Angel testing for many more product groups such as textile floor coverings and flooring underlays and underlay materials. For more information click here!
You can find the new basic criteria here and on the site of the Blue Angel.
NOTE: Unfortunately, however, the new basic criteria RAL-UZ 176 are not yet available in English but as soon as they are on hand you will find them here, too, and also on the site of the Blue Angel.
The UL ECO-INSTITUT is approved as testing body by the Blue Angel and tests your products according to the Blue Angel criteria. Contact us!
