"Bakery China was a very successful trade fair for us. Of special interest to trade-fair visitors was virtually everything that had to do with the production of croissants. China is a growing market for the bakery business as well," said FRITSCH Area Sales Manager Luc Carpentier. China, however, was not the only successful trade fair venue; the INDAGRA in Rumania was in every way its equal.
Area Sales Manager Klaus Dieter Koch returned from the INDAGRA with a lot of business in his pocket, namely, a long list of new customer contacts, orders reaching into the 6-digit Euro range, and a "Diploma de Excelenta" (award of excellence) in the categories of dough-sheet technology, electronics and drives). The MULTICUT received the award in 2007. "Rumania is on its way to becoming a high-potential market," Koch tells us. "Most of the inquiries at the INDAGRA pertained to the area of bread roll production."
Once again, it was the live presentations at the FRITSCH booth that drew the most attention. The pastry system EUROLINE proved the point that local products like Pogaci or Turta Dulce as well as a variety of other baked goods can be produced with a minimum of retrofitting. The ROLLFIX 300 WK was implemented as well -- especially for the production of Covrigi (pretzels).
The dough sheeting machines ROLLFIX 300 W and ROLLFIX 70/650 were also a main attraction at the FRITSCH booth in the Ukraine at BREAD. The Ukraine is a lucrative market. This can be seen in the fact that FRITSCH has been active there for years -- 4 times to be exact. But the market attractiveness can also be discerned from the deals sealed at the trade-fair booth. Eugen Dell, Sales Consultant, Eastern Europe, was quite satisfied with the company's showing at BREAD: "The caliber of the visitors at the trade fair was quite high. The trend in the Ukraine is very definitely toward pastry, baguette and ciabatta production." And, of course, that's where FRITSCH comes in -- with ready solutions for the customers' every wish.
Next stop on the FRITSCH trade-fair agenda is the Polagra on 14 - 18 September 2008 and the Sachsenback on 20 - 22 September 2008.
