By the end of the seminar, the attendees had experienced opportunities to develop programmes by cooperating with other relief team members in different disciplines in disaster relief scenarios. They also learned how to create activities requiring minimal equipment, exchanged ideas based on their experiences and previous knowledge, and discussed inclusive activities while taking into consideration factors such as culture and disability.
ICSSPE President, Gudrun Doll-Tepper, explained, "International humanitarian organisations as well as armed forces are currently looking for innovative methods on how to further develop disaster management and we are pleased to contribute to the training of a new group of workers who can help others in need."
The seminar was produced in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Germany, and with the partnership of Kennesaw State University (USA), Freie Universität Berlin, Fürst Donnersmarck-Foundation, and the German Red Cross.
