If you’re after a large station wagon for your family or business but don’t want to miss out on a sporty design and good driving dynamics, the BMW 5 series touring is definitely the right choice for you. JMS has now developed body add-on parts which can be used to further enhance the profile of all models in the current G31 series which have the M aerodynamic package. The vehicle presented here is still a design study, but its components will be available from April onwards.
The BMW has a new spoiler lip with a built-in diffusor (399 euros) under the front skirt, giving the front part a more aggressive and dominant look. To go with this, the offer includes a rear diffusor (379 euros) which is characterized by four distinct fins. This is delivered without any pre-fabricated cutouts for the exhaust tail pipes, so that the diffusor can be adjusted individually to fit into all exhaust systems - whether the exhaust system was fitted during production or if it has been retrofitted with accessories. This is the case with the vehicle presented here: it has an Eisenmann exhaust rear muffler with four tailpipes each measuring 90 millimeters in diameter (1,850 euros) which makes for a perfect getaway. Of course, the add-on parts for the front and rear also fit onto the corresponding sedan G30 as well as the touring G31.
As well as the new JMS components, the car also has further modifications which give it additional accents. The 5 series for example has a set of Cor.Speed Deville rims. Coming in dimensions of 9x20” (449 euros) and 10.5x20” (479 euros), they perfectly fill the wheel cases, and the wheels in a light silver brushed finish with their ten clearly drawn spokes fit optimally to the brawny look of the Touring. By using a KW Variant 3 coilover suspension (from 2,059 euros), JMS has managed to lower the vehicle by 45 millimeters on the front axle and 40 millimeters on the rear axle, thereby optimizing its road handling.
