The Golden Car Award, which was founded by the Russian State Duma and the Ministry of Transport, annually honours companies in a range of categories related to the transport and shipping business; more than 700 firms applied this year. A 30-strong jury of experts from government, industry associations, academia and the media elected Kuehne + Nagel as the winner in the "Leader in Transport & Forwarding Industry in Russia" category, which distinguishes companies for their achievements in the field of logistics.
Perry Neumann, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel in Russia, who accepted the award at the ceremony, held in the Concert Hall of the Moscow Kremlin, said, "This distinction is a great honor for us. It is both a strong confirmation of our commitment and success in the Russian logistics market, and a compelling obligation to continue investing in our nationwide expansion strategy in all of our business fields, inline with growing customer demand."
Kuehne + Nagel entered the Russian market 16 years ago. It today employs more than 800 logistics experts at offices and warehouses in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don and on Sakhalin, and has some 90,000 sqm of warehouse space under management.
