The solo dance piece unsichtbarst looks into the situation of performing and spectating, seeing and being seen. Who is looking at whom?
Displayed on a mirrored floor and observed continually from all sides, the dancing body evolves into a living sculpture that transforms itself, questions itself repeatedly, must be defined repeatedly and loses itself repeatedly. Can form dissolve? How much control do we require to not lose ourselves? Layer by layer the flowing borders between private person, public person, stage personality and art object are made visible. How much do we show of ourselves? How unprotected, how vulnerable can we present ourselves? What remains behind the image that we pretend to maintain for others and ourselves?
"Rarely have the extremes and contradictions been unified in a dancer in such a fascinating way. (...) with a presence that subtly feeds the strict aesthetics and formal perfection with an inner fire and unpredictability. Anna Huber's pieces construct and deconstruct, make concrete and dissipate forms of movement and their message. Emptiness becomes concrete form and vice versa. The body is space, the space is the body." züritipp Tagesanzeiger, Eva Bucher
