This full-service package not only includes a 60 cm or 90 cm wide washer-disinfector to suit the specific needs of surgeries, but also baskets and inserts designed to suit the load in hand as well as a liquid dispensing system and process documentation software. This package also includes a comprehensive range of services performed by Miele's own after-sales service team. This includes commissioning and validation according to the Medical Device Directive and annual revalidation over a five-year period.
This complete package for a manageable fixed monthly charge incorporates current hygiene requirements and takes on board the pertinent legislation and guidelines relating to instrument reprocessing. In short, doctors can devote their precious time to their core competencies. Medical products under the scope of this contract are validated, revalidated and serviced by Miele's in-house service operation.
Depending on the machine configuration, this comprehensive service package is available for no more than EUR 10 per day. The monthly charge includes free repairs during the term of the contract, including all necessary spares. Machine operating costs are therefore calculable, forward visibility is good and a high initial outlay is not necessary.
Doctors who have used Miele washer-disinfectors in their surgery for any length of time are fully aware of the benefits: Less time is spent on the time-consuming job of reprocessing instruments compared with manual processes. And, when it comes to consumption costs, machine-based reprocessing is also superior to manual methods, let alone the protection against contamination of patients and health-care staff it affords. As all Miele washer-disinfectors are specifically designed for use in ENT surgeries, by gynaecologists and dentists and in outpatient surgeries, they are all built to comply with the European DIN EN ISO 15883 standard. During installation, Miele's field service technicians can provide three types of qualification (IQ, OQ and PQ), ensuring that all the relevant standards and guidelines on instrument reprocessing are met.
