According to preliminary calculations, REpower Systems AG (Prime Standard, WKN 617703) achieved a total performance of EUR 240.9 million from 1 April to 30 June 2008 - compared to EUR 105.5 million in the corresponding period of the previous year (1 April 2007 to 30 June 2007). In the same period, the company installed and recognised in income 138 wind energy turbines with a total output of 276 megawatts. The operating result (EBIT) significantly increased in the reporting period from EUR 0.1 million to EUR 10.2 million. With 1,522.6 MW as of 30 June 2008, REpower Systems AG once again registered the highest number of orders since it was founded.
Total performance more than doubled from EUR 105.5 million to EUR 240.9 million in the reference period from 1 April to 30 June 2008, equally sales increased year-on-year by 126% from EUR 102.5 million to EUR 231.8 million.
EBIT totalled EUR 10.2 million in the period from 1 April to 30 June 2008 compared to EUR 0.1 million in the previous year.
The order book contained purchase agreements for 718 wind energy turbines with a total rated power of 1,522.6 megawatts at the end of June 2008. This corresponds to a contractually confirmed order volume of EUR 1.6 billion.
Due to the seasonality of the business, REpower Systems AG changed its financial year, formerly equal to the calendar year, to the period from 1 April to 31 March.
