The young winegrowers competition "The Young South Palatinate, here is something growing" from the South Palatinate Wineroad e.V. is being presented by 14 talents during the Pro Wein 2015- the international wine and spirits exhibition taking place annually in Düsseldorf.
Meanwhile the young winemakers go ahead to attract their attention for the 3rd time. They are going to present their current portfolio on 45qm in hall 14, position A 49. The appearance will reflects the dynamic and the creativity of the winegrowers group.
The spectrum and the variety of the young wine makers has a wide impressive range: Amongst the grape varieties there can be found, for instance Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are not only characterized by their freshness but also reflect the terroir which is found near the German Wine Road: Mineral appearing granite soil, full-bodied and powerful clay and responsible for fruity and crisp Rieslings, the slate soil.
The pioneer of the reds is the Pinot Noir. But also Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, St Laurent and Merlot are all found in the tastings offered at the stand. The palatinate reds point out a concentrated fruit, subtle elegance and a very complex tannin structure. Sweet and fruity varieties like Rieslaner, Gewürztraminer and Scheurebe are also very popular.
The talents of the young south palatinate will be furthermore accompanied by the VDP members, the Suedpfalz- Connexion and the members of the Barrique Forum.
