Producers from all over the world can submit their features or series in English (or with English subtitles) via registering at http://festival.viewster.com. The inaugural #VOFF edition 'When Life Gives You Lemons...' calls for black humour features and series.
Viewster's millions of viewers will vote for their favourites and create a short list for Viewster's Jury of Experts. The first jury member is Ted Hope, the producer of blockbuster '21 Grams' starring Sean Penn and the probably most prominent player when it comes to building "a better world for ambitious film".
The submission deadline is 20th February 2014 and the winners will be revealed on 1st April 2014.
Ted Hope, film producer and jury member of Viewster Online Film Fest said: "Viewster is giving up-and -coming film producers the chance to make their mark. I wish a competition like this existed when I started out. The film business is damn hard and you need to jump through all sort of hoops to make a name for yourself. Viewster is the perfect platform for producers, independent or not, everyone can take part and that's what our community needs - a platform that enables talent to showcase their work."
Kai Henniges, CEO at Viewster said: "I'm extremely proud to be able to give something back to the film community. In the #VOFF, we empower our audience to become the curators and bring them very close to the creatives. I can't wait for the submissions and I'm positive that we'll have some great content flooding our gates soon. Good luck to everyone!"
